In five weeks time I will be in London attending my third blogging conference of the year; BritMums Live. Spread over two days, the conference covers a wide range of topics within the weird and wonderful world of blogging. There is a “getting to know you” meme going around the internet so read on for my answers and, if you are going, why not do your own and link it up?

Is this your first blogging conference?
No, I attended BritMums last year, as well as going to a couple of BlogCamp and Blog Ons over the last few years.
Are you attending both days?
Yes, that’s the plan.
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015?
Seeing other bloggers and getting to meet up with so many great people I have gotten to know a little online! I love the sessions and always come away from these things with ideas and inspiration, but getting to see other bloggers that I really like (and braving my shyness to do it) is my favourite bit.
What are you wearing?
Probably jeans or leggings and a nice top/dress, with flat shoes. I want to be comfortable as I know they are long days, and I’ll also be travelling down from Birmingham on the Friday, so will want to be comfortable for that.
What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2015?
Ideas about where to go from here with Mama Geek. I know that our baby and toddler days are drawing to an end, and I will be starting to blog about Georgie starting school, and Lydia beginning at pre-school. I’m also always on the look out for tips to improve my photography, and learn more about the world of vlogging – I’m working my way up to standing in front of the camera more, not just behind!
Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
Relax – it can all be a bit overwhelming so find a quiet corner if it all gets a bit too much and take a minute to breathe. Make sure you have a camera to hand – it is easier to snap pics of slides and then just make notes of extra info than to try to get it all down.
Take a little phone charger in your handbag as all the tweeting will take its toll on your battery! Brands often run competitions where you tweet out pics etc, so it’s handy to make sure you have a smart phone with a camera, that is charged & has enough credit to tweet, in case the wifi is overloaded.
Choose one period where you don’t really fancy any of the sessions to go and chat to the brands instead, it will be less crowded than break times and you are more likely to get a meaningful conversation with them.
Have tissues handy for the The Bloggers’ Keynote! I cried last year, and I wasn’t the only one.

I’m rubbish at names and faces, and horribly shy – which I do try to overcome at these things, so please don’t be offended if you get a slightly blank or panicky look when you say hello… Also, I never say no to a hug!
